After successfully crossing the Atlantic in January 22, Yakira continued its way in the following months through the Caribbean islands, ultimately reaching the entrance to the Panama Canal in May. Before passing through the Panama Canal, the stunning San Blas Islands, home to the indigenous Kuna Natives were visited. Finally on the 19th and 20th of May, Yakira made her passage of the famed Panama Canal. From there she continued north up the coast of the Pacific, to Costa Rica.
 

This is Costa Rica: Jungle, Volcanoes, and Beautiful Beaches:

Yakira is now located at Marina Papagayo in the northwestern corner of Costa Rica. The Marina is only 20 minutes drive from the international airport in Liberia which serves direct flights to US cities and also some European capitals. It is the ideal starting point to explore the beautiful, rich coast.
 

In about 1-2 hours sailing from Marina Papagayo, you can reach the beautiful and varied beaches of the Pacific. Sail with us, over the majestic waters and anchor in secluded bays, all the while swimming, paddling, snorkeling, and watching for the vast and numerous marine life, such as turtles and rays. Enjoy an intimate experience with friends and family aboard your floating home, where those seeking relaxation can find it, as well as those seeking adventure. There is plenty to experience, and variety is guaranteed.
 

Half Day and Full Day Charters:

Yakira is now ready for crewed charter after completion of the registration process. The captain will be your competent host and skipper on Yakira to show you around the beautiful landscape, bays, and beaches for half day and full day charters. Overnight and weeklong charters on request.
